Why is Oral Hygiene Important?
Taking good care of your mouth, teeth and gums is an important daily requirement not only for a healthy mouth but overall general health. Plaque deposits which collect on teeth are full of bacteria which can cause periodontal diseases plus other systemic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and preterm labour. Removing these deposits daily can reduce the risks.
Why doesn't the Dentist Clean my Teeth?
Our dental hygienist Alison and therapist Zoe provide a specific scope of clinical procedures for the treatment, prevention and maintenance of oral diseases, they have been specifically trained for this treatment and therefore at Linthorpe House Dentistry we prefer our patients to have access to this service on a regular basis.
